One half of the Rainmaker equation is the people behind Copyblogger, founded in 2006 by digital marketing pioneer Brian Clark. The first and still largest site devoted to the practice of content marketing, Copyblogger evolved from a one-man blog into an 8-figure technology company without venture capital or advertising. Clark developed his digital marketing tactics and strategies starting in the late 1990s -- creating three successful businesses out of websites, email, and content -- and now trains the Rainmaker Digital team in evolved techniques for the benefit of our clients.
The balance of the equation comes through our team headed by Ed Bardwell (click for full bio), a digital marketing pioneer in his own right. Ed has been serving the digital marketing needs of his clients since the mid-1990s, recognizing early that building an audience via content and permission-based email would become the dominant online conversion engine. Bardwell has been recognized for the innovative use of technology to support the marketing efforts of his agency clients, scoring awards including Agency of the Year from the Social Media Club, Emmys, and Addy Awards.
